Teacher of the Week

Lori Whatley:

Mrs.Whatley is a 24-year experienced educator. She has taught on an elementary, high school, and college level and even though she enjoyed teaching all of them, high school has been her favorite. Mrs.Whatley is very passionate about providing a comfortable and loving environment for her students. Although she loves her career, she really never wanted to be a teacher until she had a life-changing opportunity in college. Mrs. Whatley volunteered at a school and when she entered the doors, she felt at home and it was at that very moment she realized that teaching was her calling. She considers spending time with her students a “joy to her life” and knowing that she makes a difference in her students’ life, motivates her to keep teaching. Aside from teaching, she is involved a lot at THS. She’s the chairperson of RTI, she is a co-editor for prom and a co-advisor for Skills USA. Even with all of the school involvement she is still a mother and a wife. Mrs. Whatley is married to Coach Whatley and  has two sons, Sawyer and Ford Whatley. During her free-time she usually attends all sport events of THS and shops at antique stores. All in all, Mrs. Whatley is definitely committed to the T! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
